The Pope. You know, god’s very own emissary to planet earth.
Well he up and resigned. Thank You Ratzo. I hope you suffer for your indifference to justice. You are the wrong in this world. Good riddance.

    Nicely put. That nasty old pope is the abomination as is his evil and corrupt organisation. The only problem is, the catholic church is still in place and in reality, the pope is little more than a figurehead reflecting the dogmatic nonsense of the RCC but dressed up to impress and to sort of soften the show to make it at lest appear more attractive.

    Won’t be sad to see any of the gang that protected and supplied child-molesters retire. He’ll keep enjoying the immunity, pottering around the vatican.
    From the moment I first saw Ratzinger I thought he had a real ‘Uncle Fester’ look about him.

    That creep always reminded me of the evil Emperor in Star Wars. All he heeds to do is pull a black hood up over his head. What I find mind-boggling though is how many humans actually believe that the Pope’s got God’s telephone number and takes commands directly from Him!
    Was there ever an actual poll taken for this?

    I don’t know of a poll but I was raised catholic. They really do believe that he has god’s spirit flowing through him. … And that he is infallible.
    Also there are some comparisons of him to the emperor on “god is for suckers” a few years back.

    As I’ve mentioned many times here, over the years, (especially in the good ole days of “Gods for Suckers”) like Jimmer54, I too was born & raised “Cat-Lick”. In grammar school I had the “Brides of Christ” nuns…
    (What an astoundingly humongous Harem Jeebus has, by now!…huh? :shock: )…
    from 1944 Kindergarten to 8th grade; where I was also an (unmolested) altarboy..then it was the Christian Brothers, in (long defunct) St. George Catholic High School (Evanston, IL)…and, quite commonly, various priests as “Thomistic” (Thomas Acquinas/Aristotelian) Philosophy course teachers in college, at Chicago’s De Paul University. It was in those early 1960s undergraduate days that I first became agnostic; but a very LONG ways from my current “open-minded, agnostic atheism”. Yada-Zama. I digress…or is it…regress?
    To save retyping, here’s my recent (2/11/13) comment in (Atheist Experience Co-host) Tracieh’s Pope Resignation facebook News Post:
    [Me]: “GOOD NEWS!…
    However…the former “Rat-Zinger” (remember his REAL name?) as former head of the RCC’s “Inquisition” BS, no less; totally failed “zinging” all those longtime roosting predatory rats in the priesthood. Soooo…what’s he gonna do now? Head for the Roman Catacombs to find a comfortable hiding place, perhaps?
    Kinda like those HBO Series “True-Blood” vampires…

    And now, faced with overwhelming evidence that this Pope has been the greatest protector of Pedophilic Priests, who have litterally raped, and ruined the lives of thousands of young boys…. what’s a Pope supposed to do???? Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!!!

    I second the emotions expressed here. Sadly, before many weeks have passed, yet another thought cop in a dunce cap will be installed in his palatial headquartes to continue the work of spreading delusions throught the world. We must remain ever vigilant.
