Homophobia Gone Wild: Pastor Charles Worley From Throwback Mountain

Have you heard about this?

“Build a great big large fence… put all the lesbians in there… Do the same thing for the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can’t get out…”

“…And you know what, in a few years, they’ll die out… Do you know why? They can’t reproduce.”

Pastor Swirly shows the raging xenophobia that religiosity encourages. He reveals the true reason we can’t pander to these fuckwits: there’s no reasoning with the irrational.

The religious always ‘rationalize’ their goings-ons, both past and present. And we are supposed to just nod somberly and mumble some horseshit about ‘how everyone’s entitled to their opinion’, or ‘oh hey, it’s part of your religion, so it’s okay’.

It is most definitely NOT okay. But try explaining to one of these religious ass-clowns how telling a minority group of people they can’t do what the majority can do is discrimination (regardless of the whole ‘genetics vs. choice’ manure – even if it IS a choice, it’s still terroristic manipulation), and watch the vacancy glaze their eyes.

Because once the religious factor is subtracted from the equation…well, the ‘it’s just icky!’ argument is only suitable for middle school children, and not valid in any reasonable sense.

So fuck these bigots. Sign this petition – and the next time you overhear someone mouthing this egregious codswallop, read them the riot act.

Because sometimes the only way to engage the idiocy, is to shout it down and call it the garbage it is.

Till the next post, then.

  1. Reblogged this on the secret keeper and commented:
Pardon my language right up front: this fracking a$$hole has no clue how fracking stupid he really is. no i do not wantto kiss any man b/c i am a lesbian. if i am going to kiss anyone it will be someone of the same sex as i am. but i ask you rev. do you kiss your wife with those filthy lips?

  2. Rational&Scientific&antiReligion says:

Put the Pastor in a straight jacket & lock him up…. He’s dangerous to society!

  3. buckeyenonbeliever says:

A question for all the so called ‘moderate’ religionists out there, will YOU denounce this nutjob and his ilk? If one thinks through this peters (er, I mean pastors) diatribe; one will realize what he is truly advocating….. genocide.

In short, he has divised a ‘solution’ to rid the world of a group of people HE does not like or agree with. Sound familiar to anyone? His solution is not only dangerous, but criminal. And to those moderates who will not admonish this douchetard, when will you concern yourself with dangerous zealotry from the pulpit? Is it when they come after the atheists and secularists next?
I know, you do not have time to concern yourself with a nonbeliever, that does not effect you. But how about after these zealots rid the world of all these groups you may not care about, and then zero in on those religionists like you, who are not as fanatic and committed to the imaginary skyman as they are.

Will you care then? Will you disavow these maniacs then? Will it be too late? Allowing justification of bigotry, racism, hatred, and evil because an old fairy tale advocates it is not freedom of religion; it is appeasement followed by his good friend terrorism; ending with their offspring…… tyranny.

Then in addition to Pastor Dipshit there is this shit going on also in North Carolina.

    From Addictinginfo.com:

No this is not The Onion; that is an actually headline. With Memorial Day coming up, what better way to celebrate than by a burning cross of hate. I believe they say that propane is the most efficient fuel when it comes to totally insane racism from the darkest period of American history.

With the decision to constitutionally ban same-sex marriage and civil unions (marrying your sister is still cool so long as you’re her brother), as well as a far-far-right wing radicalized preacher with a penchant for genocide for homosexuals and offering parenting advice to parents of gay children that makes Sharia Law look like the buddy system, North Carolina is just step away from being a combination of Mississippi and Texas.

And don’t forget Arizona is in the running with all three of them!

A Tempe church has been labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, and after speaking with the church’s pastor this morning, we have a pretty good idea why.

Pastor Steven Anderson, the leader of the Faithful Word Baptist Church, is no stranger to controversy. He recently made headlines for saying he was praying for the death of President Barack Obama, and, just this morning, told New Times he thinks the government should put homosexuals to death.

“I don’t think I’m a hateful person — I’m a happy, positive person,” Anderson tells New Times.”I hate certain people.”

At the top of Anderson’s list of hate seems to be homosexuals.

After rambling off a passage from Leviticus, Anderson told us he thinks “the government should put [homosexuals] to death.”

He says the bible dictates that homosexuals should be killed, but, he’s too much of a pussy to do it himself as a law abiding citizen, he isn’t about to practice any biblical vigilantism by doing it himself.

As for his church’s new classification, he says, “I think the Southern Poverty Law Center is a hate group because they hate and demonize Christians… am I going to go around and say I love every child molester, rapist, and homosexual? Of course not.”

Anderson says any “hate” he preaches comes from the bible, not him.

Way to pass the buck, brah.

He says he preaches the literal interpretations of the bible, which many consider to be hateful.

“We’re not like a lot of churches that pass over a lot of the stuff that’s in the bible. We preach the whole thing,” he says. “It’s not that I’m standing up there three times a week preaching nothing but hate.”

Who knows, he may be right — but wishing cancer on a sitting American president and proposing that the government murder homosexuals seems to overshadow any message of “peace, love, and charity” his sermons may contain. Not to mention, he’s a raving fucking lunatic.

It’s like the U.S is being sucked into some kind of crazy backwards heading time warp!

Reminds me of something written about the Nazi’s.

First they came for the mentally ill, I said nothing because I’m not mentally ill.
Than they came for the Gypsies, I said nothing since I am not a Gypsy.
Than they came for the homosexuals, I said nothing since I’m not a homosexual.
Than they came for the Jews, and again I said nothing since I am not a Jew.
Than they came for me…and there was no one left to help me.

  6. ChuckA says:

The War is on folks; and we, as the statistically MOST hated citizens…even more than the friggin’ equally delusional Muslims…of this, apparently, increasingly stupefied “United States of Jesus”…are all that’s seemingly left of the truly rational, critical thinking, crowd.
Of course, almost nobody pays a rat’s ass attention to what we totally non-believing atheists think; even well known people like Bill Maher and Ricky Gervais get very little SERIOUS attention to their particularly atheist pokes & jabs at the lunatic religious fucktards.
Tangential to KA’s Post…and as I said, similar to the following, in another fairly recent AO comment:
ALL the, in particular, Abrahamic Religions are the Major Archetype of Absolute Fascism. [It’s no wonder why Hitler was never excommunicated by the RCC Church; considering the Centuries-long anti-Semitism, etc.] But, particularly, Christianity and Islam…because of the notion of Eternal, NEVER ending torturous punishment…AFTER DEATH…simply for NOT believing the total insanity contained in the Bible and Koran.
Anyone, like me, who was raised right from birth under the yoke of that most insidious, demonstrably childhood abusive of all human invented doctrines understands why so few believers ever really totally shake off the remnants of that most hideous indoctrination. And, to think that it’s attributed, initially, to the so-called “Gentle Jesus, meek and mild!” The Jews, at least, have very little to say about their notion of afterlife; but, at least, they don’t preach that viciously unjust crap.
I don’t know about you guys; but (at age 72) I’m currently aware of only one or maybe two persons out of all my known family members, former classmates, and all my lifetime musician associates who’ve somehow managed to escape all the hard-core childhood belief crap; to which our parents were “apparently” mostly unwitting accomplices.
Not surprising, of course; THEY were all victims of the same bullshit so traditionally passed on by THEIR totally deluded parents, etc. It certainly points up, to me at least, how fortunate we are to, at the very least, have the benefit of the Internet, for all its information and communication advantages.
All that said; for anyone who might not have seen it, here’s a rather, IMHO, well done two part YouTube on a subject title based on (I think) a rather famous C.S. Lewis line…
    “Madman or something worse”:
If I actually believed in the, often debunked, rather ridiculous notion of prayer, my atheist suggestion MIGHT be something like:
“May the Powers of the Milky Way Galactic Forces cause every Earthbound Christian and Muslim woman to have nothing but a continuous, unending, (and totally mysterious & frustrating?) series of miscarriages (i.e. ‘Natural’ (or is it their “God’s”?) ABORTIONS)!
Like…erm…”May the ‘Farce’ NOT be with them”?
    I’m kidding, of course!…
    Aren’t I? 😉 or is it…😈

The growing stupidity in this country and. other parts of the world is increasing rapidly. Could this be because of the stupid and delusional plopping out one little sheeple after another while the intelligent and rational choose to have no more than one or two children, if any at all? At this rate will intelligence and rationality become extinct. Maybe those atheists and rational secular humanists need to start procreating like mad!

  8. Mark says:

It was reported in the news that someone tried to burn this church down the other day. Sounds like they are making alot of friends.

Since we don’t believe in a cosmic baby sitter, we know we will be responsible for them.
